Hemp Seed Oil

Our oil selection keeps expanding in aisle #3. Hemp seed oil is another healthy, Omega rich oil like olive, coconut & avocado oils.

It is best used in dressings, marinades, smoothies, etc., as well as externally for skin conditioning purposes. 

Anyone familiar with flax oil should treat hemp seed oil similarly. It has a light earthy & nutty flavor. Not recommended as a cooking oil.

This Sunflower & Red Palm oil is Certified Organic and Non GMO Verified. It is neutral flavored and great for frying without bringing an off taste to whatever you fry in it.

I tried it out last weekend with corn tortillas and quick saute'd asparagus, and give it a thumbs up!

The reddish color comes from the red palm oil being rich in omega 9. So this oil is healthy-- which is especially good for fried foods.

Anywhere else, this stuff can be spendy if you can even find it.

As a result, it's not as nutritious as virgin but it's still healthy as it is an organic, non-transfat/ non-hydrogenated oil.

Our newest coconut oil arrival joins a couple other organic coconut oils on our shelves.

Brad's Organic refined coconut oil doesn't have the same mojo as unrefined extra-virgin stuff, but it's still certified organic and great for frying as well as great for skin and hair. Also, refined coconut oil has less coconut aroma and flavor, so it's good for recipes that call for neutral flavored oils as well as for folks who just don't dig coconut.

So that's the straight scoop. And Brad's Organic refined coconut oil is a great value, especially at the Grocery Outlet price. I even checked Brad's Organic web site, and discovered a ONE DOLLAR difference between their extra virgin and refined coconut oil.  So there ya go.
