Whenever we get cold brew coffee concentrate, it disappears quickly! The last shipment was gone suddenly before we could post about it here. So just lettin' our blog/Facebook peeps know it's back!

RUNA Clean Energy is a guayusa based raspberry beverage that won't slam you like conventional energy drinks. 'Guayusa' is a high caffeine herb tea from Ecuador with natural antioxidants and polyphenols for a relaxing alertness without the edginess.

We also just got in an Organic Cherry Juice, Marley's Green Tea drinks and new liquid yogurts in 3 flavor options.

Q Drinks produces all natural & organic craft sodas from the simplest botanical ingredients. Probably how they made stuff like this before mass production methods and artificial flavorings took over.  Available in 4-packs or single bottles, I've seen 4 packs priced at $12 online, even though our "elsewhere" estimate is $7.99. Do some research yourself.

You'll be surprised how wonderful these taste, and impressed by so few ingredients that are actually readable. We just wish we had all the flavors all the time! But that's the outlet life...

Hard Root Beer Choices at Kennewick Grocery Outlet

The recent hard root beer trend has spilled over to Kennewick Grocery Outlet where we suddenly, outta nowhere, have 3 brands to choose from... They just appeared one day.

Although root beer- to most of us in modern culture- is commonly considered a soda pop/soft drink beverage, the alcohol version was popular in colonial American times (18th century). And even before that, the Native Americans were making medicinal beverages with bark and roots, i.e. sassafras & birch. So it looks like when the Europeans arrived, they hacked root beer into the party zone. Oh, those crazy white people!

It eventually lost favor as an alcoholic beverage probably since using corn, grains, hops, etc., was more convenient and plentiful to cultivate than foraging roots & bark. Which also explains why most soft drink root beer is artificially flavored anyway.

But lately we're seeing more natural ingredient craft root beers; both soft drink and hard format.

And now ya know. ;)
