Power Brunch Snack Samples This Friday! 10 AM - 1:00 (2/27/15)

Sample Our Hemp Seed Selection Saturday With Coconut Water!

We've accumulated quite a variety of hemp seed snack products lately. Yeah, I know... what's that all about anyway?? But it's supposed to be good for you. In fact it's another one of those "super foods" we hear so much about.

So in case you've been wondering about hemp seeds, we're sampling a few varieties today (Sat 1/31) from 10:00 AM - 2:00. 

We have a hulled raw product that tastes similar to sesame & sunflower kernals, a plain toasted one and a couple toasted flavored items (Ziggy Marley's "Caribbean Crunch" and "Sea Salt & Black Pepper").

Bagel Dog Sampling This Saturday Morning!

 This Saturday morning from 9 am to noon, we'll be manning our tasting cart with hot bagel dog samples!

Come in for a quick snack while you shop, and sample a tasty beverage as well.

We have a big supply of frozen bagel dogs made with bagel dough by a famous bagel maker named Benny. These are the real deal too! And I believe they are Polish sausages as well, not plain old hot dogs inside. They are fun and easy to prepare; just heat and eat. Even kids can make 'em!

And that's why my mini-microwave and I will be here to greet you Saturday morning-- hope to see you soon!

Food Tasting This Saturday! Toasted Garlic Bread, Sauce & Cheese!

Join us this Saturday (11:00 - 4:00) for our fresh and fun Garlic Bread event!

Along with Grocery Outlet's new house Garlic Bread, we'll be offering a selection of sauce toppings and melted Italian 4 cheese blend through the advanced technology of our very own nifty toaster oven-- and the skills I have at using a toaster oven! This oughta be fun...

Sauce options will include a marinara with basil, white alfredo and a spicy Sicilian-style sauce imported from Italy. All items are on our shelves and priced lowest in town!

With the kids back in school, pizza bread can be a quick and easy way to handle your tribe.

We're also featuring a couple fruit flavored sparkling water beverages that we have in good supply right now.

So come in for a snack and a sip next to the Wine Dept! 

I'll be building these to order-- you pick the sauce or no sauce, cheese or no cheese or loaded with everything plus something to wash it all down.

This Friday, July 25, from 1:00 to 6:00 we're doing a food tasting next to the Wine Dept.

We'll be toasting up some of our newest Grocery Outlet French bread. Toppings will include a fine bruschetta and hummus from our Deli section. We're even going to keep the bread warm for you-- how 'bout that!

Plus, to cleanse your palate, try a sample of an all natural sparkling clementine beverage. A "clementine" is similar to a Mandarin orange. 

Believe me, all this stuff goes well together!

This Friday afternoon (July 11, from 1:00 - 6:00), we'll be featuring cool snacks to help you beat the heat, next to the Wine Dept.

Yeah, the electric skillet has been put away this week.

Coconut water and beverages containing coconut water can be the best ways to hydrate yourself in hot summer temperatures. We'll be sampling 3 different items, including a chocolate flavored coconut water!

Tasting Shrimp & Fresh Cut Fruit This Saturday!

Join us by the Wine Dept this Saturday from 1:00 to 6:00 for samples of shrimp and fresh cut fruit!

We'll be tasting some 61/70 count peeled & de-veined shrimp with tails from our freezer case, that we're sauteing for you in garlic infused olive oil with some lemon.

Our cut fruit selection includes fresh cantaloupe, watermelon and pineapple! Right now, our prices on these items are unbeatable around town.

Tasting! Veggie Potstickers & More Mystery Beverages THURSDAY!

This THURSDAY, from 10am - 3:00 we're featuring a food/beverage tasting over by the Wine Dept.

Veggie potstickers from our frozen case will be sampled-- which we fully intend to serve nice and hot, so no need to worry about potsticker-sicles, okay! These are yummy, and also include 2 sauce packet options you can taste.

Last week's beverage sampling was so fun and popular (remember with the smoked salmon), that we've decided to always include beverage samples with food tastings.

FOUR juice-style drinks will be featured from 4 different brands and types of juice, plus some chilled sparkling water to spritz with a juice or just rinse your palate. And if "juice" doesn't sound that exciting, just know this is some wild stuff you'll wanna check out!

Smoked Salmon & Smart Juice TASTING!

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 5th we'll be tasting and sampling smoked salmon and organic Smart Juice from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM!

Smart Juice is a Certified Organic juice with lots of antioxidants and other healthy stuff. It's also YUMMY, and we'll be pouring Black Mullberry and Apricot-Peach for you to try.

That's right, two great tastes together for your sampling enjoyment this Thursday. We figure the juice will be a refreshing way to finish off your salmon tasting -- or an alternative sample for those just not crazy about smoked salmon.

Either way it should be fun, and we hope you'll join us in the Wine Dept at our magic tasting cart. It's not like smoked salmon and Smart Juice are an official training diet of Columbia Gorge windsurfers... but maybe it should be.

And as always, these items are marked down for the best savings in town!
