Produce Section - Fresh Kimchi & Tofu

Fans of Asian foods should know about the Kimchi in our Produce section!

We're stocked up on fresh, refrigerated REAL kimchi in regular and spicy. If you like old fashion homemade fermented sauerkraut, you'll probably like kimchi as well. Basically, it's Korean sauerkraut. Of course, all kimchi is kinda spicy, but there's extra kick stuff too!

Kimchi is an excellent source of pro-biotics and an alternative to relying on yogurt for pro-biotics... just don't wanna put it on your granola though, okay. And get it in the fridge right away, cuz it's under pressure.

We also have Extra-Firm Tofu (next to the kimchi), made with non-GMO soy. This is bonus as most soy these days is genetically modified. Tofu is a high protein, meat alternative. The Japanese have been making tofu for generations, so it's not some new, over-processed industrial frankenfood. Try it!

Here are a few specialty items currently around the store to check out.

We continue to have great deals on avocado oil (aisle #9), and just received more. This high temp, neutral flavored oil is a healthier way to prepare fried foods and dressings. It's also a great skin conditioner-- just not at frying temperatures, okay.

Also in Aisle #9 we have a fresh stock of imported fettuccine pasta. It's Certified Organic and produced in Tuscany, Italy. If you're looking for a more affordable but super high quality pasta, this is one to try!

Heat & eat authentic India entrees offer new and interesting ways to spice up and add variety to your menu. Best served with rice, noodles or even quinoa. Check the ingredients-- very simple.

Even breakfast cereals are surprising us lately. New Cheerios with "Ancient Grains" is an interesting one. The freshness dates aren't expired, so we figure Big "G" Mills must be using some kind of time travel technology to bring us these Ancient Grains... ;)))
