Noodling Around NOSH Section...

 Right now, check the *NOSH section for 2 varieties of Organic white cheddar macaroni & cheese with simple ingredients and less preservatives and other junk.

The pirate stuff has little macaroni anchors, probably a better choice than hooks or peg legs, right... Dunno if they surveyed actual kids on this one. Macaroni anchors, so just roll with it.

The other shells & cheese dinner is very good, cuz I just tried it. You get a lot too! The sauce pack is a yummy, cheesy goop that you just squeeze into the shells after they're cooked and drained. No powdered mix. I'd even put it on crackers! Try this one for sure!

Also excited about the Japanese Udon noodles, which I also tried. These are Organic & non-GMO. They cook fast and are similar shaped to linguine, only thinner-- why they cook faster. Besides using these in Asian recipes, i.e. stir fries or soups, these quick & versatile noodles are equally at home with an alfredo, pesto or red sauce.

Specialty Imported Pastas!

 In our *NOSH section we currently have quite a  selection of Italian imported pastas.

Interesting shapes and colors include black spaghetti and penne, colored with squid/cuttlefish ink. Yes, black pasta! Although yours truly hasn't tried it yet (I bought some though), a little web research reveals that black pasta can have a slightly salty, briney or sea-like flavor. 

It's also supposed to be healthier as the ink contains trace minerals, some amino acids and antioxidants.

We also still have the Gluten-free spaghetti in the NOSH section-- AND imported Italian Gnocchi in Aisle #4!

"Bronze Die" on the label means they're crafted the old world way by pasta artisans; going back to the Bronze Age. Can you believe it! And what a deal!

We heard Tantillo is the official rigatoni of the Italian national soccer team, and sometimes they get handled a little rough at promotional events. Then we get what's left.

Okay, they're a little broken up which is why we got 'em. But hey, throw on the sauce and what's the difference anyway, right. FYI, exp. date is Oct. 2016, so freshness is no question. So stock up and save!

The deli section features a new egg & soy free mayo that's Non-GMO Verfied. Most people interested in stuff like this probably aren't gonna slather it on a hot pastrami sandwich. But they could! And that's just their business, okay.
