Frozen Pizza Hacking! Kick It Up A Notch!

The great thing about frozen pizza, besides varieties and Grocery Outlet's bargain pricing, is getting creative with it.

A recent live Facebook feed by Bon Appétit Magazine in NYC featured ways to hack popular brand frozen pizzas (imagine that!). Basically, it boils down to adding MORE of your favorite toppings because most pizzas never have enough of YOUR favorite toppings, right.

So instead of calling out, going out or making pizza from scratch, just start with an interesting frozen choice, and pile on a few more goodies. Just go easy on the M&M's & marshmallows, okay-- unless you dream of Italian Smores and are maybe pregnant or something...

ANYWAY, we have an excellent pizza selection in the freezer sections right now, including Gluten-free. Just check all around the freezers, cuz they're not all in the same area. That's how we roll. Take a couple laps around Aisles #5, 6 & 7 and work up an appetite!

Mysterious Mint Appearances...

 

Yes, we seem to post about ice cream a lot. 

We like to!

The latest phenomenon in this magical part of the frozen section is the appearance of 'mint' in various items. 

Two Organic options include a Pink Peppermint ice cream as well as a non-dairy Coconut Milk based Mint Chip (chocolate chip). I took some of the coconut stuff home and made a mint chocolate chip pina colada with it. Try it! It doesn't suck.

We also have a Mint Fudge swirl offering in "Real Ice Cream". Nice when they emphasize it's 'real'. Just roll with it, because we're talking ice cream with fudge. Real enough for me.

Not so crazy about mint? Well, just realize that mint is an ancient tummy ache remedy. So, if you end up eating an entire tub by yourself on the couch because the Olympics is over now, the mint's gonna help get you through this. Feel better already?

Babysitting money will go a long way here!

Ciao Bella Gelato Squares at $1.99/box of 4 are available in sea salt & caramel and key lime graham. A box is 16 oz., so .50 cents each for these quarter pound fancy Italian ice cream sammies is a serious dealio!

Brewla Bars with tropical fruits and brewed white tea (caffeine-free) are probably the safest thing featured in this post as long as one doesn't melt on your yoga mat, causing you to slip and break correct form...

Olde Mill, Olde Tyme Vanilla ice cream bars are 2 for a buck in the 5 oz. size. Though not as good a deal as the Gelato Squares, you know the butter fat content will make up for it cuz of how they spell "Olde" and "Tyme". Just trust me.

Creamy Frozen Treats of the Chocolate Kind

Just couldn't resist letting everyone know about some of the chocolate yumminess lurking in our freezer case lately! Well, it IS Thursday. And that's reason enough, right.

Yes, everything's in the Aisle #7 freezer case, front end. Don't miss it. We've been putting a fresh strawberries display nearby. So maybe now you don't need a GPS to home in on this area.
