Shopping Dash Event This Tuesday! Don't Miss It!

As a final push for Food donations for Second Harvest, we're adding an exciting Shopping Dash event this Tuesday morning, Aug. 2 at 10:30!

Teams will include members of our local Police & Fire Departments. 

Goal: 5 minutes to "Dash" through the store and collect as much as possible while saving as much as possible. 

In the end whoever saves the most, wins the dash and has full bragging rights! All Food donated to Second Harvest. 

Very special thanks to Numerica Credit Union and our good folks in blue for sponsorship & participation in this event! 

Though not quite as crazy as SNL's Supermarket Spree skit with Melissa McCarthy, our Shopping Dash will still be a fun event you don't want to miss!

Babysitting money will go a long way here!

Ciao Bella Gelato Squares at $1.99/box of 4 are available in sea salt & caramel and key lime graham. A box is 16 oz., so .50 cents each for these quarter pound fancy Italian ice cream sammies is a serious dealio!

Brewla Bars with tropical fruits and brewed white tea (caffeine-free) are probably the safest thing featured in this post as long as one doesn't melt on your yoga mat, causing you to slip and break correct form...

Olde Mill, Olde Tyme Vanilla ice cream bars are 2 for a buck in the 5 oz. size. Though not as good a deal as the Gelato Squares, you know the butter fat content will make up for it cuz of how they spell "Olde" and "Tyme". Just trust me.

Noodling Around NOSH Section...

 Right now, check the *NOSH section for 2 varieties of Organic white cheddar macaroni & cheese with simple ingredients and less preservatives and other junk.

The pirate stuff has little macaroni anchors, probably a better choice than hooks or peg legs, right... Dunno if they surveyed actual kids on this one. Macaroni anchors, so just roll with it.

The other shells & cheese dinner is very good, cuz I just tried it. You get a lot too! The sauce pack is a yummy, cheesy goop that you just squeeze into the shells after they're cooked and drained. No powdered mix. I'd even put it on crackers! Try this one for sure!

Also excited about the Japanese Udon noodles, which I also tried. These are Organic & non-GMO. They cook fast and are similar shaped to linguine, only thinner-- why they cook faster. Besides using these in Asian recipes, i.e. stir fries or soups, these quick & versatile noodles are equally at home with an alfredo, pesto or red sauce.

Q Drinks produces all natural & organic craft sodas from the simplest botanical ingredients. Probably how they made stuff like this before mass production methods and artificial flavorings took over.  Available in 4-packs or single bottles, I've seen 4 packs priced at $12 online, even though our "elsewhere" estimate is $7.99. Do some research yourself.

You'll be surprised how wonderful these taste, and impressed by so few ingredients that are actually readable. We just wish we had all the flavors all the time! But that's the outlet life...
