Strawberry deals forever!!!
Well, not really 'forever' but we have lots of gorgeous strawberries at only $3.00/2 lb., that are fresh, ripe and ready to eat NOW!
This deal won't last forever and neither will the strawberries. It's shortcake time, pie time (check our gluten-free & regular frozen pie crusts) and whatever else you like to do with strawberries.
FREEZE them for great smoothie ingredients too! Great with yogurt and ice cream for strawberry milk shakes. Dip them in melted chocolate truffles-- we have truffle bargains too!
A good strawberry shortcake method is to puree 1/4 of your fresh strawberries in the blender or processor, adding sugar or your sweetener of choice, a splash of vanilla extract and a little lemon zest-- maybe even a splash of balsamic vinegar if you're adventurous. Toss your whole, halved or sliced strawberries in the puree for a saucy and intense shortcake experience! Seriously!
