Although we're not at world peace quite yet, ya still gotta admit that PEAS have come a long way.
Peas used to mainly be dull, drab canned stuff with no pizazz whatsoever. Then frozen peas came along to brighten things up a bit with more color, texture and flavor. But they were still just peas.
Runners sometimes stuff packs of frozen peas in their socks for help with shin splints. That's kinda exciting I guess.
Otherwise, peas are peas are peas...
Then Japan turned us on to Wasabi Peas, giving peas a powerfully pungent punch in snack food popularity. We're also seeing "pea protein" in more and more protein supplement products revealing more about the power of our little green friends.
Grocery Outlet just got a supply of World Peas snacks offering a few variations on the Wasabi Peas approach. They are crunchy, savory and yummy with some choices here!
Also remember we always have Wasabi peas in the Valued Naturals section of our produce area!
So give peas a chance, okay. They will not be ignored!
