Our checkout staff have let me know that people often ask if we have COCONUT WATER.
Yes we do have COCONUT WATER!
Right now Kennewick Grocery Outlet has 2 brands of ORGANIC coconut water in stock, at a ridiculously low price too!
Coconut water, aka coconut juice, is not the same thing as the white "coconut milk" used in those crazy tropical rum drinks. The much thicker coconut milk is made by combining the mostly clear juice with the actual coconut meat, then pressing it all, like grapes for grape juice or olives for olive oil.
Coconut water is light and amazingly good for re-hydration. In fact, people who've had too many of those tropical rum drinks will recover faster with plain coconut water-- as college students on spring break around the world are now discovering.
Also remember that those people on Gilligan's Island drank mostly coconut water-- and just think about how good they always looked!
